The Itel P51 is one of Itel’s superpower phones on the market presently. Its specification of claim is its huge battery capacity. A mouthwatering 5000 mAh battery capacity.
It was first announced in November, 2018 and made available soon after in the same month.
The Powerful device does come with a 5.5 inches screen which makes it a huge one compared with many other Itel phones. It has body dimensions of 190 x 110 x 10.5 mm. It’s covered with a brushed metal back cover.
Its 5.5 inches screen produces a display of 720 x 1024 pixels and weighs around 160g on average. The phone boasts of a quad-core 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6580W processor. This gives it a headstart in the league of low-performance phones.
The phone doesn’t have a dedicated graphics memory – which means, it shares the phones RAM. Which in turn means that it’s not the kind of phone you want to play mortal kombat or Fifa games on. But, it’s still okay for watching your favourite movies and streaming videos on Youtube since it runs on the Mali-400MP2 GPU.
The phone also primarily runs on the Android version 7.0 (Nougat).
Memory and Camera
You’re surely wondering what the memory and camera capacities of this phone are. Well, there are no surprises really. As much as the device’s internal hardware specs are not so huge to call, the memory and camera are just about the same.
The phone has a befitting 8MP rear or primary camera. This camera has autofocus, dual-LED flashlights, and produces video of 1080p@30fps quality. The device also has a front or selfie camera with 2MP lens.
In terms of memory capacity, the Itel P51 has a 1GB RAM and a 16GB Internal storage space. It, however, allows for external storage with a plugin memory card. It gives room for up to 32GB more external memory.
Battery and Other Features
As already mentioned in the opening paragraphs of this article, the Itel P51 is really large on one thing – its battery capacity. 5000 mAH capacity is extremely huge even for a brand which seems to have done well with power capacity over the years.
The phone holds a 5000 mAH removable Lithium-ion battery. It supports a talk time for up to 19 hours after a full charge. Users pegged its standby and music play times at 400 hours and 25 hours respectively.
The Itel P51 supports USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 Wi-fi direct, hotspot, GPS and FM radio. It doesn’t support NFC, Fast charging nor wireless charging.
Looking for sensors? Well, this phone has a couple of them. It comes with accelerometer and proximity sensors.
Price and Where To Buy In Ghana
Frankly, this is not the regular kind of phone people use in Ghana. So it’s quite difficult to find it since the demand is relatively low. However, there are few outlets which still sell it.
You can check Jumia, Jiji and Frankophones to get the brand new version there. You should prepare a budget of between GHS 350 to GHS 450 for the brand new. The used version however should cost you between GHS 180 to GHS 250.
