You can easily check your AirtelTigo number using the shortcode. Of course, this is the easiest way to actually check your phone number. Follow the steps below to do it.

  • Dial *703# on your phone.
  • Wait for the code to load and bravo! You have your phone number displayed on the screen.

Note that the number will be displayed with the International Ghana dialing code. Example: 2335XXXXXXXX. All you have to do in this case is to remove the International Ghana dial code which is “233” and replace the code with ‘0’ and that is it. After doing this, your number should look like this; “05XXXXXXXX“.

Check your AirtelTigo phone number using the Settings app

Most smartphones register your phone number as soon as you insert a new sim card. In most cases, you can find your phone number from the Settings app of your smartphone. To check your number using this method, follow the procedure below.

  1. Open Phone Settings: Unlock your phone and go to the “Settings” app. This app often looks like a gear or cogwheel icon and can be found on your home screen or in the app drawer.
  2. Scroll Down: Scroll down through the settings options until you find “About Phone” or “About Device.” This is usually located towards the bottom of the settings menu.
  3. Select “Status” or “Phone Identity”: In the “About Phone” or “About Device” section, you should see an option called “Status” or “Phone Identity.” Tap on it.
  4. Find Your Phone Number: Look for the “My Phone Number” or “Phone Number” entry. Your AirtelTigo phone number will be displayed right there.

Basically, this is the most convenient way to check your AirtelTigo number without dialing any code. However, you must note that this option is only available for smartphones. On most of the smartphones, you will have to manually register your phone number by yourself. It is not automatically detected by the phone in most cases.

If you use Vodafone network, then be quick. There is a way to get Vodafone 1GB data bundle for free. Read the full guide I wrote earlier and take action while this offer lasts.

Call or text someone

  1. Dial a Friend’s Number: Open your phone’s dialer and dial a friend or family member’s number.
  2. Make the Call: Tap the call button to make the call.
  3. Ask for Your Number: When your friend answers, ask them to tell you the number that appears on their screen. This is your AirtelTigo number!

Similarly, you can also text them asking them to text your number back. Receiving your number in a text message is even better. This will help you to have it saved on your phone for the future.

This is one of the best ways to check your AirtelTigo number. However, you will be inconvenienced if you do not have airtime on your new number.
